As we head into the home stretch of the CPC Leadership race, we are starting to see room developing between the top three positions as Andrew Scheer has built a strong lead over Erin O'Toole for second place. The eight point spread between the two candidates is the largest recorded over the past three weeks.
While the Support Index provides an indication of support levels for the first ballot, the preferential ballot system still provides hope for a number of candidates that could still see their way to 50%+1 depending on the support from voters whose candidate will be dropped from the ballot in the early rounds.
Eyesover Technologies’ analysis of the CPC Leadership race consists of continuously measuring and analyzing mentions and sentiment for each candidate from a daily average of approximately 20,000 online comments from Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Reddit pertaining to the Leadership race and as such, would not be considered an election survey based on recognized statistical methods.
